It's raining buckets. This is the worst time for the wiper switch to fail, and you can't do anything about it. You better have the A/C on. Otherwise, you're going to be wiping moist off the windshield and side windows. And it's not fun. Try keeping up with the minimum speed limit when you can't see anything except water pouring down your windshield. Of course, you can't poke your head out the window or you'll risk instant decapitation. All that trouble because of a lousy wiper switch.Assuming you make it to the safety of your home, it's time for a little DIY. That wiper switch isn't going to stay broken for long. Otherwise, it'll be wiser to take the city bus or train to work. It isn't worth risking your neck over a switch failure that could easily be replaced. It's all a matter of pulling apart the steering column cover, removing the old switch and putting in a new one. Be very careful when working around the steering column, especially if your steering wheel is equipped with an air bag. When it doubt, consult your workshop manual or call a pro.If your steering wheel doesn't have an airbag, then it should be a piece of cake. Remember to test the wiper switch before putting the steering column cover back in place. You'll never know when a product might be defective. To be 100-percent sure, visit Car Stuff. We have replacement wiper switch for you.
