All right, so who's up for a ticket? You think you're doing yourself a favor by continuing to drive without a working rear view mirror? Well, guess what? It won't be long before a patrol cop sees you and pulls you over for disobeying the law. It's required-well, in most states-to have a center mirror plus two side mirrors. The reason being that is if your big rig gets behind you and blocks your entire view on the rear view mirror, you'll still have a couple of mirrors to rely on. Of course, rear view mirrors aren't only a necessity. They're a basic safety feature on almost every type of road vehicle. Now, there are some talented individuals who are extremely comfortable in not using a rear view mirror while driving. In fact, they grow uncomfortable when forced to use it. Their main reason is that it distracts their attention from the road ahead. While that may be true, still it'd be too dangerous for the majority of drivers out on the road. Parking is going to be a really challenging ordeal as well. So as a general advice, keep using the center mirror. And learn how to position all three mirrors to eliminate your blind spots. The trick is to adjust your side mirrors further out so that as a vehicle swerves out of sight on your rear view mirror, they'll start showing on your sides. Try it. High quality mirrors are available here at Car Stuff.
