Plymouth Starter Description

Your Plymouth starter has been reliable and trouble-free since you have purchased your car…but now your car is making odd noises and hesitating when you start it up in the morning. First, troubleshoot to see if your car is suffering from the most common reasons for not starting, which usually come from the battery or solenoid. You can diagnose a failing battery, or loose cables or corroded battery terminals by turning on all your lights and then trying to start your car. If the lights dim and/or the engine is very weak when it turns over, then look at replacing your battery or scrubbing the terminals. If you have a bad solenoid, you will miss the starter solenoid clicking noise each time you turn the ignition key to the start position. Finally, check for bad interlock switches, such as a park switch (with automatic transmissions) or a clutch switch (with manual transmissions). If those reasons have been eliminated, then consider replacing your entire Plymouth starter system. Your Plymouth starter has been designed to outlast its new car warranty, and should run at least 50,000 miles or more. But over time, the stress of useage and heat will wear down the starter components. It is recommended that you replace the entire Plymouth starter system, since the individual components will often fail about the same time.
