Since fuel is very vital in the efficient operation of the engine, a fuel pump is also important in order to keep the fuel flowing through the fuel hose into the fuel injector. Modern type of vehicles, including the line-up of Mini, use electrical fuel pumps since the fuel injector nowadays need a higher pressure of fuel to work perfectly. The main purpose of having a fuel pump is to provide the needed amount of fuel with the proper pressure for delivery, and it is the fuel injection system which is responsible for that. Significantly, fuel that is delivered by the fuel pump is mixed with oxygen before it is burned and transformed to what we know as horsepower. Mini fuel pump, like most fuel pumps are found inside the fuel tank, but there are also some cases that it is located along the frame or unibody channel. It usually has a strainer that filters out harmful contaminants to keep the fuel clean before it reached the engine. However, in order to guarantee the cleanliness of the fuel, there are filters installed along the fuel pump for better filtration. But when the pump gets faulty, the fuel pressure will drop and the fuel delivery won't be efficient anymore, and only a new Mini fuel pump could solve that problem.
