You may think that a spoiler is nothing but a mere add-on to enhance the external style of your auto but wait until you add in a Lund spoiler in your car. Once you have it installed either on the rear or on the front portion of your auto, smooth and responsive driving will initially come along. And how can this be achieved? Basically, a spoiler carries out its functional purpose by generating a lift or down force on the body of the car. Rear spoilers or wings are shaped like the wings of an airplane but it is mounted in an upside down position. Airplane wings are used to add force as it moves away from the ground while car spoilers are mounted upside down to produce opposite force and reaction, which is, to push the auto down onto the pavement. The down force produced, also called 'lift', provides better grip on the road so the car can surely stay in track and at the same time, the car will be responsive in case speed is increased. However, the size and weight of the spoiler must be considered should you decide to purchase a new one. Too much weight could slow down your car instead of speeding it up. Yet, if you'll be using a spoiler merely for decoration or aesthetic purpose, a plastic spoiler would be a nice choice. And if you want ease in installation, Lund spoiler is a nice choice. You have several sources both online and offline so you will not have to go through the hassles of purchase.
