The fluid pushes on pistons inside the Jeep brake caliper body, and the pistons squeeze the brake rotor between two brake pads. The pads generate friction, and your Wrangler comes to a stop thanks in large part to your Jeep brake caliper. A Jeep brake caliper has an exposed design that allows the brakes to dry themselves and cool themselves much more efficiently than a drum system is capable of. And the Jeep brake caliper is remarkably trouble free, especially when one considers the stress placed upon it. Fluid leaks are usually the downfall of a Jeep brake caliper, so when you notice dampness on a Jeep brake caliper and a low fluid level in the master cylinder, chances are you'll need to replace that Jeep brake caliper. It's easy, though: Just order a new Jeep brake caliper from us, unbolt the old Jeep brake caliper, bolt on the new one, bleed the brakes, and you're all set.
