Up until now, your Infiniti has been a pleasure to drive because of its smooth and powerful engine - until the Infiniti clutch begins to show signs of wear. Order your Infiniti clutch here, and then install your new set yourself. Before you begin the job of replacing your Infiniti clutch, use some best practices in mechanics. Inventory your tools to see if you have the right sockets (10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm), torque wrench, socket wrench, 3/8" universal joint, extensions (you will need a total of at least 20" long combined). You'll need wrenches as well: 10mm, 12mm, 14mm and 17mm. In order to lift the car up safely and support it, you'll need the following lift tools: four large jack stands, ramp stands and a suitable transmission jack. The latter piece of equipment will make your job a lot easier, and cut down on the risk that your transmission will hang in the club plate hub, which will mean a bent disk. Do not use an impact gun to tighten cover bolts; instead use a quality torque wrench that will tighten bolts to the manufacturers' specifications. The clutch components should be inspected, and the problem can be diagnosed there. When you take apart the clutch, check the flywheel surface for dishing, grooves, heat checks, burnt spots and cracks. Check the throw-out bearing, fork, retainer and all components of the release system, which must move freely in order to avoid future problems with your transmission system and Infiniti clutch.
