FIAT is actually an acronym for Fabbrica italiana Automobili Torino or Italian Automobile Factory of Turin. The scope of business of FIAT includes automobile manufacturer, engine manufacturer, and as a financial and industrial group based in Turin. The FIAT Group was founded by Giovanni Agnelli in 1899. The first car ever produced by this brand is the 31/2 CV with the body designed by Alessio of Turin. The framework of the CV has lots in common with the contemporary Benz and was equipped with 697 cc boxer twin engine.
