Some of the greatest inventions are the results of accidents and would you believe that Ferrari is one of these? Enzo Ferrari has started with Alfa Romeo where he formed the Scuderia Ferrari or the Ferrari Stable. He was at that time the head of Alfa Romeo's motor racing department but when Alfa Romeo was confiscated by Fascist government, Enzo Ferrari was left with no choice but to leave Alfa. For four years Enzo was not able to race as part of the contract that he had with Alfa Romeo. To pass the four years prohibition, Scuderia was changed to Auto Avio Costruzioni Ferrari, a manufacturer of machine tools and aircraft accessories. Throughout those years of exile from racing, Enzo Ferrari managed to build a race car called the Tipo 815. This was the first Ferrari car. All of its Ferrari parts and Ferrari accessories were produced by the company of Enzo Ferrari.
The first Ferrari car made its debut at the 1940 Mile Miglia but due to World War II it was not able to compete in any race. Enzo Ferrari transferred its Ferrari factory to Maranello where it has stayed ever since. Unfortunately, due to the ensuing war at that time the factory was bombed by the Allies in 1944 production of Ferrari car parts and Ferrari accessories ceased during the war but it was rebuilt two years after the war ended. The war has severed not only Ferrari's factory but also his finances. To continuously fund the production of his vehicle lineup, Enzo Ferrari was forced to sell his 1947 125 S Ferrari creation. The sacrifice did pay off; by 1988 Enzo Ferrari was able to launch its Ferrari F40 which was at the same time the last new Ferrari before his death. Enzo Ferrari must be very proud since the Ferrari F40 has become one of the highly renowned supercars ever made. This new super Ferrari was equipped with only the best Ferrari parts and Ferrari accessories-manufactured to exceed specifications of performance and durability.
Starting 2002 to 2004, Ferrari finally introduced the Enzo-a tribute to the remarkable man who started the Ferrari Stable. The Enzo was sold at $1.8 million which is just right for the fastest vehicle at that time. The Enzo was built using only the most superior quality Ferrari parts. This Ferrari model is definitely designed for the wealthy enthusiasts only.
