Protect your Vision, Summit or Premier model's engine by regularly checking your Eagle exhaust system. After all, a worn out exhaust system can be a hazard to you and others on the road. An aged exhaust system suffers from rusted and corroded parts on the underbelly of the car, which are vulnerable to falling off or scrapping against other engine parts. In addition, a poorly running exhaust system emits smoke and odors, while causing loud engine noises and a rough idle. You will notice weaker horsepower in the engine (the result of an out-of-tune exhaust manifold/header) and poor gas mileage. But regular inspections and replacements of your Eagle exhaust components will ensure that your proper exhaust flow, silencing, and emission levels are maintained. In general, mechanics recommend checking your exhaust at least once a year. A visual inspection is often enough to find damage to the pipes, hangers, clamps and brackets of your Eagle exhaust. Heat shields are also prone to damage from hard knocks, so replace any that are missing or barely hanging on. If a shield is dented, unbolt it, and check the exhaust system for damage. Look for signs of rust or corrosion, or small holes and cracks, then consider replacing your Eagle exhaust components.
