If no air's coming out of your car's A/C vents, then you should probably check the blower motor for damage. Blower motors are prone to failure after years of service, and there are only a few reasons to explain it. First up is dust and dirt. The motor is responsible for sucking air in through the vents on top of or under your dash, then blowing it through the evaporator housing for cooling. So what happens when the motor goes kaput? No air blows through the evaporator out to the A/C vents. So what do you do when the blower motor kicks the bucket? Roll down your car's windows? That would work, but only if it isn't raining. This band-aid solution isn't permanent. What you need to do is get the motor out from under your car's hood and replace it with a new motor. But first, take a look at the wiring harness connected to it. Make sure none of the wires are burned out. If you have a voltage tester, test the terminals of the harness to make sure there's power present. You have to turn on the fan switch, of course. There are also components inside the blower motor that are prone to failure. There's a pair of carbon brushes that wear out eventually. There's no solution for that, except replacement. And finally, the motor itself may simply burn out. Just get a replacement motor from Car Stuff.
